I honestly had never heard of Shilajit before, but apparently it has been around for 5000 years. The history and processing of Shilajit is quite fascinating. It is hard to comprehend who was the first person who saw a dark, tar like substance between some rocks in the mountains and thought it would be a good idea to consume it?

This Shilajit is a very thick, messy resin. It comes with a small measuring spoon (stick?) which helps. The resin does not dissolve easily even in hot water, so you have to stir it for quite a while. Though it does not taste great, I didn't have a problem with the taste. It reminds me of browning sauce or concentrated bouillon.

I've only tried it a couple of times, so it is too soon to comment on any effects. I did some research beforehand and the National Institute of Health has a rather detailed article. I recommend reading the article and if there are any concerns, contact your healthcare professional.

This Shilajit is pricey. At the time of this review it is $36.99 for a 1.06 oz jar which is 50 servings. I know the processing is quite complex and labor intensive, but I have seen Shilajit at a lower price.

I put a pea size portion of this resin into lukewarm water. Takes quite a while to dissolve and I keep stirring and drinking it until it’s gone. It’s nice in a glass jar. The previous one I had was plastic.

I like that the shilajit resin is sourced from Himalaya. The taste is a bit earthy and herbal, and a little bit goes a long way. I like that there are no fillers in this product. It is pure shilajit resin.

I have been fascinated by Ayurveda health and this is my first time taking Shilajit resin. It is just like you would think, a thick tar like substance (resin) I was confused on how much to take but took a closeup picture of this provide metal rod and can see the 300 mg and 600 mg marker. So helpful as I made a mess with warm water. Today I put it in my coffee. Even with 180 degree liquid, it still take a minute to dissolve. Not the easiest thing to work with but, this seems like a very good source and I am excited about my health benefits so far.

The jar is really small! Comes with a flat scooper. Contains 600mg Shilajit Resin from the Himalayas, Fulvic Acid & 85+ Trace Minerals.

It is black and thick like well used motor oil. It tastes terrible, bitter! But I do know that all things that are healthy are not tasty so I am good with it! I haven't taken it for long so I can speak of it's overall benefit. I will update at a later time.

I do like to add trace minerals to my water, as I have a water filter that filters out most everything, so I try to add minerals back in.

I deducted 1 star for the taste.

With this supplement, you are getting quite the bang for your buck. I was originally looking for turmeric as an anti-inflammatory supplement, but this caught my attention due to the Ashwaganda which is said to have anti-anxiety and sleep benefits, plus Black Seed Oil which is said to benefit hair, skin, digestion as well as having anti-inflammatory properties. Once I read the complete list of ingredients I saw it includes turmeric as well as many other beneficial ingredients in adequate doses. It makes much more sense to buy a this blend and have the multiple benefits that will work together, rather than buy them all individually. I'd rather take 2 capsules daily than an assortment to get the same benefit.
